DESCRIPTION:Celebrate small-town life in the mountains at the 42nd Annual Mountain Glory Festival on October 11th\, 2025. From 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM\nVisitors looking for original handicrafts will find plenty of shopping choices with three jam packed blocks\, featuring over 150 craft\, food\, non-profit and sponsor booths of locally made arts and crafts; festival foods and pubs with local wines\, mead and beers. Plus\, two stages presenting Marion’s finest musicians.\nDon’t miss the annual Mountain Glory Quilt Show inside the McDowell Arts Council. The quilt show is the gallery’s featured October exhibit.\nThe kids will have fun in the “”Kid’s Korner”” with hands-on activities\, local entertainment and the ever popular best-dressed pet contest.\nShuttle services will run from Rose’s parking lot to the Festival site every half hour. Shuttle service is free. We’re celebrating survivors and raising funds for The Go Jen Go Foundation!\n\n\n🌽 Breast Cancer Shucks – A Maze With a Mission\n \nJoin us for an unforgettable evening at Historic Rural Hill’s Corn Maze in Huntersville as we turn our maze pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Please read the “What to Know” section below for all information! \nThis one-of-a-kind event will feature: \n\n🎶 Live Music from The Chain- A nationally touring Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band featuring Dani Kerr!\n🍴 Delicious Food Trucks and Dessert Trucks\n🍻 A special “Pink Brew” crafted by our friends at Eleven Lakes Brewing as well as other brews and sips from Eleven Lakes!\n🌟 Pink lighting surrounding the corn maze\n\nBut this event is about more than fun\, it’s about impact. \n \n💖 Walking with Purpose\nEvery step through the maze helps raise awareness for breast cancer\, a disease that will affect 1 in 8 women in her lifetime. Early detection and support can make a world of difference\, and this event is dedicated to shining a light\, literally and figuratively\, on the fight against breast cancer. \n \n🌸 Supporting the Go Jen Go Foundation\nA portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Go Jen Go Foundation\, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides critical financial assistance to individuals and families in the Greater Charlotte area who are battling breast cancer. We’ll have live music\, fabulous food trucks\, and adult beverages on hand. \n-Tickets sold for any other non-specific maze day will not be accepted at this event. Non-specific maze tickets can be used any other day the maze is open to the public. Night maze ticket holders CAN opt to pay an extra $10 for access to this event.  \n-In order to attend this event\, you must purchase a ticket from this page for the “Breast Cancer Shucks” event\, or pay an extra $10 for access. \n-A ticket provides access to all areas and features of the event. \n-Children 5 and under are free. \n-Lawn chairs are encouraged. \n-Outside food\, beverages\, and coolers will not be permitted. \n-Flashlights/headlamps are encouraged as the maze paths will be dark. \n-Pets are not allowed in the maze or on the grounds during this event. \n-The entrance to Rural Hill is on Neck Road. We host events year round and many are fundraisers for the site that help us put on free community oriented events and educational programs for local schools. We also operate as the historic homestead of the Davidson family.
