DESCRIPTION:Nighttime Sky Observing Session  at the Iron Ore Belt Access  in partnership with Greensboro Astronomy Club.\n\n\nJoin local astronomers with the Greensboro Astronomy Club as we observe the night skies over the Iron Ore Belt Access. Telescopes and viewing equipment will be set up on site but you may wish to bring your own binoculars or telescope\, plus a chair or blanket for seating. Please dress for the weather.  \nAttendees may expect to see closer-than-typical views of the moon\, planets\, star clusters\, and other celestial objects subject to change with time of year and local sky darkness. Flashlights & headlamps should have a red-light option or filter to protect your night vision. \n***Skywatching sessions may be cancelled for cloudy or poor weather conditions\, so please SIGN UP in advance so you can be notified in the event of cancellation. *** \nStar-gazing Etiquette: \n\nPlease use a red light at the observing session and keep any light pointed at the ground. As your eyes adapt\, a light is not needed at all.\nPlease do not touch any telescopes or other equipment unless permission is given. Items are delicate and expensive.\nPlease do not allow children or pets to run around the observing area. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. This is to protect others’ safety and the equipment.\nPlease form a orderly line behind each telescope.\n\nProgram equipment and instruction provided by members of the Greensboro Astronomy Club\, which meet the third Friday of each month at the Greensboro Science Center. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2025-2026 season of the Surry Arts Council Dance program.\n\n\nWelcome to the Surry Arts Council Dance Program! We are so excited to have you joining us for our classes. \nClass size is limited. Please call 336-786-7998 if the class is full when you attempt to register. New classes will be added. Classes begin in August and end following the recital in May. \nTuition is the same each month regardless of the number of weeks in the month or student absences. Tuition must be paid by the first day of each month from August 2025 through April 2026. There will be no tuition for the month of May. Tuition can be paid online through Eventbrite or by cash or check in the payment drop box in the dance studio or in the Surry Arts Council Office. \nFamily tuition is based on the number of class minutes each week. Family is defined as siblings living in the same household. If calculating monthly tuition for multiple children in the same household\, use ages 9+ prices. There will be a 5% discount if registration\, tuition\, and costume fees for the entire year are paid in full by August 1\, 2025. \nA $25 registration fee per dancer is due before the first day of dance class. The registration fee includes dance t-shirt and recital costs. \nA costume fee for each dance class is due by December 1\, 2025 The costume fee for each dance class is as follows: \n$ 75 per dance class (excluding clogging) \n$ 30 per clogging class \nAll fees are non-refundable. If you choose not to continue classes you must notify the Surry Arts Council in writing. The short excursions begin at 1 p.m. and typically last for 30 minutes. Rambles will start outside the entrance of the Wilson Center for Nature Discovery. Included with admission.
