DESCRIPTION:The Surry Arts Council presents the Summer Concert Series featuring Special Occasion Band live in concert at the Blackmon Amphitheatre!\n\n\nOriginally formed in the late 80’s-the latest edition of the Special Occasion Band blends a variety of musical talents together to form a group that is perfectly accommodating, has a great attitude, and performs a repertoire that will have all of your guests dancing the night away.\nYour 2026 Annual Pass admits you to this event. Children 12 and under who are accompanied by parents or guardians are admitted free to Amphitheatre events covered by the annual pass.\n\nFAQs\nWhat time does the gate open?\nGates will open one hour prior to show time. There are three entrances located around the venue marked “PAY HERE.” Exchange your ticket for an armband. Children 12 and under are admitted free for the 2026 summer series.\n\nWhat are my parking options for the event?\nFree Parking available (with no time limit):\n-Mount Airy Public Library, 145 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030\n-Arts Center, 215 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030\n-The Municipal Building, 231 Spring Street, Mount Airy NC 27030\n-Andy Griffith Playhouse, 218 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030\n-Mount Airy Post Office, 111 S Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030\n\nAre food and drinks available?\nBeer, wine, and food are available.\n\nCoolers/picnic baskets are not permitted.\nNo outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.\nLawn chairs are recommended.\n\nWhat is the refund policy?\nTicket sales are non-refundable.\n\nAre Pets Allowed?\nCertified service animals are permitted. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained at all times.\n\nWhat is the weather policy?\nIn the case of inclement weather, decisions to move the performance indoors will be made by the band no later than 5 pm on the day of the performance. It will be announced on the Blackmon Amphitheatre Facebook Page. Online ticket purchasers will receive notifications via email. If an event is relocated indoors, seating will be first-come, first-served due to limited capacity.\n\nAre there public restrooms?\nADA-compliant public restrooms are located in the Arts Center, 215 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030, and behind the amphitheater.\n\nWhere is smoking permitted?\nSmoking is only permitted in the parking areas. There is no smoking permitted on the amphitheatre grounds or in the restrooms.\n\nIs the venue handicap accessible?\nThe venue is handicap accessible.\n\n\n
